Forest Guided Imagery Text
As you walk along the winding path, the tall trees tower above you, their leaves rustling gently in the breeze. The air is fresh and crisp, and the scent of pine fills your lungs. The path leads you deeper into the forest, and soon the trees begin to thin out.
As you come to the edge of the forest, you are greeted by the most beautiful view. A vast mountain range stretches out before you, the peaks covered in snow and the valleys filled with lush green trees. The sun is setting, casting a golden glow over the landscape. You feel a sense of peace and tranquility wash over you as you take in the beauty of nature.
You find a large rock to sit on and take a moment to soak in the peacefulness of the forest. You feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and hear the sound of a nearby stream. You take a deep breath, and take in the natural scents around you. Let your mind wander, and let your thoughts drift away.
As you sit there, you might feel a sense of connection to the earth and the natural world. You feel grateful for this moment of serenity and tranquility. Feel your worries and stress slowly fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and contentment. Now, take a deep breath in – and out. Try to notice any scents. Fresh mushrooms – moss – or the grasses and leaves. Breathe in consciously and let all the tension out. Enjoy this feeling in the here and now.
As you sit here, you know that you will always remember this moment, this visit to the pine forest with the vast mountain range. It will be a memory that you will treasure forever.You slowly get up and begin to make your way along the path, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. You know that the memory of this peaceful mountain range will stay within you. The sun begins to dip below the horizon, painting the sky with shades of pink, orange and purple. The tall pine trees cast long shadows across the forest floor, and the air grows cooler.
You can hear the distant call of an owl. Soon you come across a clearing. Now find a comfortable spot on the ground and lay down on the soft grass. Maybe you want to cross your arms behind your back. Look up into the sky and take in the beautiful view. The sky is ablaze with color, and as the sun sets, it casts a warm glow over the horizon. Now, the sky transforms into a canvas of deep blues and purples. The stars begin to twinkle in the sky, and the moon rises, casting a silver light over the forest. Gaze up at the night sky, in awe of the beauty of the stars. You can see constellations like the Big Dipper, Orion, Cassiopeia and many others.
Relaxing on a Meadow
Notice the soft grass below you and let yourself become one with the night sky. You may beginn to feel a sense of wonder and gratitude for the beauty of nature, and for this moment of pure serenity. The stars twinkle above you – a sense of connection with the universe araises. The gentle breeze and the rustling of the leaves make you feel at peace.
The stars twinkle above, each one a reminder of the vastness and beauty of the universe. We are small and insignificant, yet also a part of something much greater. You might realize that everything in the universe is connected, and that we are all just tiny pieces of a much larger puzzle.
Take a deep breath, feeling the cool night air on your skin. You let your mind wander, and maybe you’d like to make a wish. A wish for peace and love in the world, for the well-being of all living beings, and for the protection of the earth and its natural beauty. Or perhaps something entirely else? – Imagine your wish traveling up to the stars, carried on the gentle breeze.
Feel this sense of hope and optimism. You feel a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact on the world. You know that by connecting with nature, and by taking the time to appreciate its beauty, you can find peace, inspiration and motivation to make a difference.
Now stand up and look at the night sky one more time, feeling grateful for this moment of connectedness and inspiration. The stars will always be there, shining bright and reminding us of the beauty and wonder of the universe. The hope and optimism – the beauty of our world. Take one last deep breath and return to the here and now, knowing that you will always carry this memory with you – of this peaceful night in the pine forest – surrounded by the beauty of the stars and the connectedness of everything.
Waking up phase
Your feelings of this place will last – keep them in your heart. Now take a deep breath in and let it out. Gently move your fingers and toes, and slowly stretch your arms and legs. As you come out of this relaxing state, take a moment to become aware of your body. Take another deep breath in and out, feeling the sensation of the breath moving in and out of your body. The lifting and lowering of your chest.
You may notice any sensations or feelings in your body. Take a moment to acknowledge them without judgment and let them be. You are now slowly becoming more present in the moment and any insights or feelings are still with you. You may feel a sense of calm, relaxation, and clarity. Remember to carry this feeling with you as you re-enter.
Now slowly open your eyes and take a moment to orient yourself to your surroundings. Notice your surroundings. Take some time. If you’d like, you can lay a little longer, maybe stand up, or gently move your body – shaking your limbs and feeling the energy flow through your body.
